Memorial Day Parade
Come see the PHS Clipper Marching Band and Color Guard at the Portsmouth Memorial Day Parade (Mon, May 28th). They will be gathering at 12 noon, place TBA. Parade step-off time and route are TBA.

Upcoming Spring Concerts
There are several important concerts coming up this month. They will all be held at the PHS Auditorium. Ticket Donations for all concerts $2 for Adults $1 for Students and Seniors. There will be raffle items.
The first in the series of spring concerts is All-City Concert #1. It is this coming Wednesday (May 16th). The tentative performance lineup for concert #1 is:
- New Franklin Chorus
- PMS Jazz Band
- PHS Concert Choir
- PHS Instrumental Ensemble
- PHS Contemp. Vocal Ensemble
The next concert coming up is All-City Concert #2. It is a week from this Wednesday (May 23rd). The tentative performance lineup for concert #2 is:
- PHS Percussion Ensemble
- Little Harbour Chorus
- Grade 5 Band
- PHS Madrigal Singers
- PHS Concert Band
The last concert in the spring concert series is the Portsmouth Middle School Concert. It is two weeks from this Wednesday (May 30th). The tentative performance lineup for the PMS spring concert is:
- Grade 6 Band
- Grade 7/8 Band
- Grade 6 Choir
- Grade 7/8 Choir
- Chamber Singers
- PMS ensemble TBA
The students have been diligently preparing for these concerts and can't wait to show off their talent. We hope to see you there!

Wanted - YOUR PHOTOS - for the PHS "Disney-Memories" Photostream on Flickr!
We have started a private Flickr group for Disney trip participants to share their photos in a group photo pool. Everyone making the trip is invited to share their photos and will be receiving an email with an invitation to join the group. The goal is to have a great set of photos that everybody can draw on to for great memories of the 2012 Disney trip, and to include as many people as possible in the photo collection. So, we are hoping that a lot of trip participants will want to join the group and share their photos while they are on the trip, or afterwards as we will keep the group open for new photos for a while after the trip is over.

Invitation From the Parent's Music Club
The Parent's Music Club would like to invite interested parties to attend our monthly meeting. Our next meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 2nd, at 5:30pm in the choir room at PHS. If you would like the latest updates of what is going on in the Performing arts Department, this is the place to be. Parents Music Club invites parents to become more involved to help enrich the lives of the students in the Performing Arts. Anyone that is interested in coming to these meetings is welcome.
