Message from Steve - Super Bowl Sub Day Fundraiser

Starts Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2011

At the right, is the Super Bowl Sub Day form for this year. All monies raised will go towards High School Band trip to Disney or Middle School trip to Great East.

The Middle School selling expectation for 7th and 8th graders should be three orders or 10 subs. If a parents don't want their student to sell but want to make a donation, it should be $25 dollars. That is the amount we are looking for each student to make as a minimum through selling subs.

I usually ask kids to return one order at the end of each week in January (this year it would be the 13th, 20th, and 27th) and not to wait until the last minute for selling their orders. Forms must be received by January 27th in order to get a count for ordering supplies to make the subs. Money should be collected with each form they sell. Students need to make sure they are careful writing down information on the forms. Print clearly so we can read the information. Please make sure to tear off the bottom of the form and give it to the customer as their receipt.

We also ask the 6th grade band and choir to sell one order to their family as practice for next year. That money goes toward their registration fee for 2013.

High School students can sell as much as they want. Profits will go directly towards their trip to Disney.

Any orders turned in after January 27th may not be abled to be processed and students may have to return money to the buyer.

Please contact me if anybody has any questions or we can discuss it at the Parent's Music Club meeting.

Audio Selections From The All-City Concert

These are for the PHS Band students so they can complete their assignments of evaluating their performance. The audio player uses flash so currently this will not work on mobile devices that don't support flash.

Message From Eric - Coupon Book Fundraiser

Starts Monday, Dec. 12, 2011

Starting Monday 12/12, PHS Band students will be able to pick up sample coupon books & order forms from Mr. Gagnon for the December coupon book fundraiser. This is an individual fundraiser program. Students are asked to sell these fantastic books for $30.00 each. For every book sold, $15.00 will be credited to the students Disney trip account. For example, if someone sells 10 books, they will receive $150.00 credit on their trip account. Students who choose to participate will receive a sample book (for show only), and as many order forms as they would like to take. Order forms will be filled out and money is to be collected in advance (just like sub day). The books will be available for delivery within one week after the form & money are turned in. Please make sure that all forms and money are turned in together and directly to Mr. Gagnon or Mr. Cirillo. DO NOT leave them out on the counter or music stand. I have included a digital flyer with a listing of the participating businesses and an order form.

The books make great stocking stuffers and will pay for themselves in as little as two uses. They are a great value and good through October of 2012.

I encourage every PHS Band student to take advantage of this great opportunity to reduce their trip cost. There are only 4 months left to fundraise. Chaperones & groupies may also use this program to bring their expenses down. The more the merrier :)

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks.

Message From Eric - Parents and Guardians, Disney Trip Chaperone Information

Dear Parents & Guardians,

We have reached the point in the trip planning process where I need to begin to organize our chaperone list and start collecting deposits. Please be aware that due to the number of students, staff & instructors attending, I am restricted by the number of seats that we have reserved on the plane and by the seating capacity of our coach busses while in Orlando. I already know that I have more interested adults than available seats.

Chaperones will be expected to travel with the band and stay at the band hotel (Courtyard Orlando Lake Buena Vista - 8501 Palm Parkway, Lake Buena Vista, Fl.) The cost for each chaperone will not exceed $1200.00. While I can make no guarantees, I hope to be able to offer a slight reduction in the overall cost based on a percentage of upcoming group fundraising returns.

Anyone not selected as a chaperone will still be able to travel as a "groupie". I could assist with recommending alternate flight arrangements and ground transportation would be your responsibility (rental car). Fortunately, I have no limits on including anyone in the discounted hotel, park ticket & themed-restaurant counts. All I need is a commitment and deposit.

Please send me a confirmation email ASAP if you are planning to attend this trip. Please clarify if you would like to be on the chaperone list or on the "groupie" list. If you are a groupie and are planning on bringing your spouse or any other family members, please include that information as well. I will do my best to accommodate. Remember that I am a band director first, travel agent second ;)

I hope to have the master list finalized before we leave for December break so that I can update the counts for hotel, tickets & meals.

Here's looking forward to a magical Spring!

Thanks.
